Dr. Jonathan Kladder teaches courses in music education and technology at UNC-Wilmington. He is also the chair of the newly formed Popular Music Education Committee for the NCMEA. In this episode, we examine the committee’s goal to increase music education throughout the state by offering classes for students who want to take music but do not have an outlet at their school. This is a conversation about how popular music education works in a public school setting.
