Conference Buddies
What is a conference buddy? It includes, but is not limited to:
- An experienced conference attendee who knows the lay of the land
- Willing to be either a companion to a new attendee or a point person to offer advice on sessions (e.g. location, presenter, where to eat, how to navigate throughout the conference)
- Willing to connect new attendee to others that teach in similar environments/regions
Who can request a conference buddy?
Anyone who wants one! While new attendees are ideal, there may be some who have attended in the past but did not feel particularly comfortable or connected – or who haven’t attended in a number of years and would like some guidance. It’s up to you!
Everyone who signs up on the conference registration form will be contacted prior to the conference to confirm their interest and buddy assignments.
