Description
Holy Trinity is seeking a Director of Worship and Music Ministry (40 hours/week) to lead and coordinate worship music. This role involves collaborating with pastors, directing vocal choirs, coordinating music ministries for all ages, and playing piano for services. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in music (Master’s preferred), experience in church music, and a strong understanding of Lutheran liturgy.Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in music required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Experience leading church music preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in piano and/or organ at an advanced level.
Knowledge of music theory, music history, and choral tradition.
Familiarity with Lutheran liturgies and traditions.
Ability to lead and direct choirs for all age groups.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to recruit, train, and supervise choir members and volunteers.
Competence in using computers, email, file management, and office equipment.
Physical Demands:
Engage in light to moderate physical work, including lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally.
Frequent walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
Schedule:
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the church’s worship schedule.
