The Magnificent Marching Machine of Fayetteville’s E.E. Smith High School performed on Halifax Mall Tuesday morning in downtown Raleigh, earning an appreciative reception from the crowd. The school’s motto, “Born of Need * Destined to Serve * Striving to Excel,” proved true as the Machine excelled and entertained those fortunate to be there as part of Arts In Education Week 2022. Band Director Roosevelt Pratt Jr. and his team can be very proud of all of their students.
State Superintendent of Public Instruction Catherine Truitt presented The Magnificent Marching Machine with an award commemorating the day.
