The University Park Creative Arts School, Charlotte NC, was awarded a $3,000 grant from the Give A Note Foundation and 21st Century Fox Grants on Tuesday morning, September 22.
The focus of Give A Note has been on providing direct grants to schools in low income and under served communities.
The University Park Creative Arts School is a Magnet & Title 1 school that integrates the arts in the whole curriculum. The music budget for this year is $0 so this grant will be the budget for the entire year. Music teacher Stephanie Manuel wrote the grant. She has been at University Park for two years but has 20 years of music teaching experience.
