NCMEA is ramping up it’s GoFundMe Campaign to raise funds to replace music, musical instruments and supplies that have been damaged or lost in classrooms in Eastern NC during Hurricane Matthew. We heard reports of total loss at Princeville Elementary School in Edgecombe County, two pianos lost in Johnston County, classroom supplies damaged at West Lumberton Elementary in Robeson County and a Parker Middle School student lost a trombone.
Grant applications for music educators will be available on the NCMEA website December 1 through January 1. The NCMEA Mini-Grant Committee will make funding recommendations at the NCMEA Board meeting on January 21.
