Who We Are
NCMEA has been the voice of music education in North Carolina since 1970. The mission of our organization is to advance music education by promoting the understanding and making of music by all. NCMEA hosts the largest musical professional development conference and student activities in the state of North Carolina and provides resources for teachers, parents and administrators while advocating for music education at the local, state and national levels. We strive to provide leadership opportunities to all music educators and students through our continuous work on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access. We invite you to explore the NCMEA website to discover the valuable offerings and resources available through our association. I encourage you to support us as we lead North Carolina through empowering generations to create, perform, and respond to our inclusive vision for music education.
If you have questions and/or need assistance please contact our Executive Director, Susan Heiserman.
Thank you,
Catherine Butler
